Welcome premeds and med students! My name is Shanon and I am an internal medicine resident living it up in Texas (howdy, y’all!). I know how rough and lonely it is to manifest a career of becoming a physician. There are lots of struggles, discipline, and sacrifices ahead. I couldn’t have made it to where I am today without mentors and other internet resources. I am not the smartest person or the luckiest and so I was always looking for people I could relate with. It seemed like everyone had their life figured out or making awesome scores/grades. Therefore, I am here to be the realist I can be about my journey in medicine and share with you my most efficient and effective tips on how to make it into med school and beyond. I want to show you guys that if you have a passion to help people and dedication to work hard, you can definitely get an MD/DO after your name.
